The program includes in class instruction, special lectures, local activities and excursions. There will be 3 hours a day of English as a Second Language (ESL) Instruction, followed by 3 hours a day of Special Lectures or activities. There are some evening activities and Saturday excursions. 

The ESL classes consist of practice in English Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking with an emphasis on communication. The Special Lectures will be facilitated by guest lecturers from the Applied Health Sciences of Brock University. The activities and excursions are designed to complement the in-class activities and introduce the Niagara area and Canadian culture. The program  includes a preliminary orientation/welcome reception and extra-curricular activities and excursions to local points of interest such as Niagara Falls and Niagara - on - the -Lake. 

All participants will be placed with local families by our Homestay/Orientation Co-ordinator. This includes accommodation and 3 meals a day, 7 days a week. Living with families will allow the participants to practice English in everyday situations and will serve as a natural introduction to the professional enhancement area with a strong cultural perspective. Each participant will also receive a local bus pass which allows unlimited travel on the St. Catharines bus system. Participants will use the bus system to travel to and from the university daily. The fees for this program cover the full tuition, course materials, accommodation, meals, local transportation and social programs. Spending money will differ depending on the specific needs of the individual participants.
